P>Organic farmer Spencer Aitel '77 uses proven natural methods in the milking and crop planting operation of Two Loons Farm, the 275-acre spread he co-owns in South China, Maine. One way to keep wild turkeys, deer and Canada geese from becoming health risks or pests: he leaves several acres of unharvested crops for wildlife, providing food and habitat during winter months. "I love to see them out in the fields," he said in a Waterville, Maine, Morning Sentinel feature. "We just plant more crops to make up the difference. It's all part of farming in suburbia."
