Work in Progress: Art Studios Near Completion

The exterior of the new art studio building under construction at the Bixler Art and Music Center complex is ahead of schedule, with complete expected by June, according to Joseph Feely, supervisor of special projects. The $1.5 million project, made possible by a gift from Linda ’64 and James B. Crawford ’64, will be coupled with extensive renovation of existing studio art space. The first floor of the new building will be work space for sculptors while the second will be devoted to painting. Work is to continue on the building through the winter. The photograph was taken from the end of the Bixler building, facing the Roberts Building parking lot.
