Anne Pollock e-mailed that she and her husband, John Waldron, decided to move out of New York City to Riverside, Conn., in July. Their daughter, Megan, was a year old in September. They like living in suburbia but continue to go into the city for baby class with Megan's friends. Anne sees Sheri Berger Bronstein frequently but not as much as when they worked together at Chase. Sheri now works for Bank of America, and Anne is a stay-at-home mom. . . . Mary "Mim" Siegel and her husband, Bill Lombardo, celebrated their son's first birthday in September. Mim is working for a year-old start-up publisher called Alexander Street Press. She and her husband bought a house in Easton, Mass., that was built in 1774 (maybe to balance out all of the one-year-olds in her life?). . . . Kim Morrison Lysaght gave birth to a son, Cole, on April 1. She and her husband, Tim, live in Wellesley, Mass., and Kim returned to her job teaching middle school math this fall. She saw Jennifer Symonds Holloran recently with her husband, John, and their new baby, Marissa, who was born a year ago in November. . . . Kristen Pettersen still enjoys life in Alaska and has recently become a shareholder in the law firm of Dillon & Findley, P.C. She and her husband, David, want to thank Charlie Bassett for the pleasure of his company once again this summer during his annual visit to Anchorage. . . . I got a newspaper clipping announcing that John Hutchins is engaged to Susan Kelly, a teacher at the Fay School in Southborough, Mass. John is the associate director of admissions at the Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine. . . . I look forward to hearing more from all of you in the new year!

I was sorry to miss our 10th reunion-I was in Ireland-but Sandy Colhoun sent me lots of pictures-which of course included classmates playing beer die-so I feel like I was there! I look forward to being in closer touch, so please send in your news. We'd love to hear about what you've been up to! Lesley Eydenberg Bouvier cornered a bunch of you at reunion so we would have something for the last column, and I've pumped my friends for information for this one, so here's the latest news. Billy Goodman is a toy inventor/designer living in South Portland, Maine, with his wife, Hillary (Robbins). They were expecting their first child in late fall. . . . Not long after reunion, Kurt Whited and Cory Snow headed down to Bolivia for four weeks of rock and ice climbing, hiking and skiing. Sandy Colhoun quit his job to join them midway through their trip and no doubt started taking pictures for his next reunion slide show. Kurt and Cory, both teachers, had the summer off. Kurt is a math teacher and curriculum developer for the Franklin Public Schools in Franklin, Mass., and does consulting work for McGraw-Hill on the side. Cory teaches high school English in South Portland, Maine, and an occasional course at UMaine at Orono. Cory was married to Sheila Sullivan on Labor Day weekend in Bridgton, Maine, with Kurt as the best man. Other alums in attendance were John Lovett '96, John Robbins '90 and Trevor Braden, who is in medical school at Dartmouth and planned to be married this fall. . . . Jeff Fort and his wife, Katie, welcomed their second child, Alexander, last spring. Jeff and Katie have a 3-year-old daughter, Hailey, as well. Jeff owns Bluecadia Aquaculture, a company based in Virginia and Belize, which produces and distributes farm-raised shrimp. . . . Doug Fenn and his wife, Nancy, had a baby boy, Sam, last spring. Doug teaches math at the Community School in Sun Valley, Idaho. . . . Michele Friel Mullen lives in Belmont, Mass., with her husband, Mike. Michele works for the Norfolk District Court as a victim's advocate, mostly with abused children. Michele said that Jane Maloney-Chitakara and her husband, Anil, recently bought a house in Wayland, Mass. Jane is a consultant at Accenture and was expecting her first child in October. . . . Beth Ackroyd teaches second grade in Needham, Mass., and in her spare time raises money for kids at risk. On a recent trip to Maine, Beth stopped in to visit the one-and-only Charlie Bassett, who is doing well and still trying to figure out how to enjoy retirement. . . . I bumped into Todd Ver Hoeven in Cambridge, Mass., this summer. Todd had just started a new job at Ascential Software as a senior inside sales representative. He was beaming while he told me about it, so obviously it's a good match! . . . Although you will be reading this column late in December, it was submitted in mid-September, just after the terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. I'm sure that amongst our class there are stories of tremendous loss and sadness but also stories of incredible heroism and inspiration. I hope that all those you care about are safe and that you can find comfort in your community of family and friends in this time of sorrow and uncertainty. Who knows what the state of affairs will be by the time you read this, but here's hoping your holiday season is filled with love and joy and that the new year brings you happiness and peace.

I am writing this column exactly one week after the horrific events of September 11. We are still mourning as individuals and as a nation, as I'm sure we will for some time to come. I don't know what the state of the world will be by the time you read this, but I hope this finds us all safe and started down the road to healing. While as always there are many happy occasions and achievements to report for the Class of 1992, I will save those for the next column. Instead, I ask you to take this time to remember the relatives, friends, neighbors and colleagues of our classmates who were lost or injured in the day's events. Remember in particular Lyzbeth Makely Glick and her daughter, Emerson. They lost their husband and father, Jeremy Glick, on Flight 93. Jeremy and three other passengers are credited with taking heroic action and successfully thwarting the hijackers' attempts to crash into targets in or near Washington, D.C. An education fund has been established for Emerson. Contributions can be sent to Emerson Glick, c/o Merrill Lynch, P.O. Box 911, Windham, NY 12496.

This past summer Lesley spent two weeks sailing in Burlington, Vt., in the Lightning North American Championships.
