A member of the fifth-place women's quadruple sculls at the 2000 Olympic Games, Gehman won bronze in the event at the World Championships in August and has stepped up her training for the 2004 Olympics. A new Colby women's racing scull, christened "The Hilary Gehman," was dedicated during Colby's Family Homecoming Weekend in October * "California-based drummer Harris Eisenstadt '98 delivers a set of impressive post-bop improvisation on Last Minute of Play in This Period," according to Cadence, a review of jazz and blues recordings. Eisenstadt's drumming "floats across the pulse" and provides "pinpoint focus to the bass." Declared LA Weekly: his artistry "will redefine your notions of percussion" * Every day is Father's Day, according to a Palm Beach Post feature article about fathers and their children who work together in family businesses.
