His work conducting opinion surveys, as pollster for NBC News and The Wall Street Journal and as consultant for U.S. senators, governors and corporations has made "a lasting contribution to the democratic process" * In Colchester, Vt., John N. Carvellas '66 received his sixth teaching honor from St. Michael's College students or peers when the graduating class of 2002 recognized his teaching and commitment to students with the students' choice award.
