Namesake: Douglas Schair ’67, Kurt Swenson ’67, and Thomas J. Watson III ’67, ATO fraternity brothers who attended Boston College School of Law. Schair, a trustee and cochair of the Campaign for Colby (1994-99), which raised $151 million, was chief investment officer of Insurance Investment Associates at the time of his death, in 2005. Swenson, owner and president of Swenson Granite Co. and CEO and chairman of Rock of Ages Corp., received the Colby Brick award in 2012 for service to his class. Watson served as a trustee in the late 1970s and later as an overseer.
