Cotter UnionCotter Union, Colby's student center, includes Page Commons (for lectures, performances, and celebrations), the Pulver Pavilion (which opened in 2007), the student post office, conference rooms, lounges, the Office of Campus Life and the most recent addition, the Colby Bookstore. The Joseph Family Spa, which serves beverages, short-order meals, and snacks, is located in Pulver Pavilion, and the Marchese Blue Light Pub is upstairs in the south wing of the union. The Pugh Center, added to the north end of the union in 1996, houses offices for multicultural organizations and meeting space for social and cultural programs.
Student Discussion Colby has more than 100 clubs and organizations including groups dedicated to governmental, musical, political, religious, athletic, and other interests. Students serve on college committees alongside faculty, administrators, and trustees and are involved in hiring new faculty, in admissions, and in matters of judicial and academic policy.
