Shuttle Services
Ground transport shuttle service is available to and from most of the major airports in Maine (Portland only), New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Vendors providing airport transportation include:

Colby subsidizes airport shuttles for currently enrolled Colby students to and from Logan Airport (Boston), Manchester Airport, and the Portland Jetport. The current subsidy is $40 per airport trip, except for major college breaks when regularly scheduled shuttles are available at reduced rates. The subsidy is paid by Colby directly to the shuttle companies listed above - any price you are quoted is the actual price you are charged. Colby does not offer a subsidy to any carrier not approved or on this list. Prices and services vary widely between shuttle providers, and customers are encouraged to confirm rates before booking. Call 207-859-4070 or extension 4070 on campus for direct connection to shuttle vendors.

Subsidy Requests

  1. Students must submit a Subsidy Request Form to the Campus Life office for approval at least 2 weeks prior to date of transportation (forms can be picked up at the Campus Life office and any forms submitted within 2 weeks may not be approved).
  2.  Once a subsidy request has been approved by the Campus Life office, the student will receive a copy via email or campus mail and the transportation company will receive a copy of the approval via email or fax (note: the request is not approved when turned in).
  3.  Any transportation without an approval from the Campus Life office will not be subsidized.  Only approved requests will be subject to the subsidy.

Questions about Colby's subsidy program can be e-mailed to Shannon Hodgdon, Secretary for Campus Life.
