Macintosh Font Installation

If you have problems installing your fonts, please call the ITS Support Staff at x3888. They will be happy to help you.

1. Download the font package.
Your Web browser will download a .hqx file. It should automatically expand and put a folder with the font package in it and the .hqx file on your desktop (or where you have designated downloads to go). You should have a folder called "Colby Fonts" and a file called "ATM 4.6.2 Installer."

3. Quit all your open applications.

4. Open your hard drive. Select and open the System Folder. In the System Folder, select and open the Colby Fonts folder.

5. Search for Old Fonts
If you installed earlier versions of the identity system, the Janson and ITC Franklin Gothic fonts may be incorrect. You must REMOVE them from your Fonts folder before installing these new versions. You can't just copy the new ones to replace the old. Look for any files named Janson, ITS Franklin Gothic and Franklin Gothic in the Fonts folder and drag them to the trash before proceeding.

6. Select the new font files from the Colby Fonts folder. This includes the suitcase and postscript documents (9 files).

6. Drag all the font files and drop them into the Fonts folder.

7. Close the Fonts folder and the System Folder.

8. Double click on the ATM Lite Installer. Follow the instructions to install. You will have to restart your computer at the end.

Note: You may experience slowness in Excel's print preview due to ATM.
