Windows Font Installation
To add a new font to your computer:

If you have problems installing your fonts, please call the ITS Support Staff at x3888. They will be happy to help you.

    Downloading Fonts
  1. Click on the download link. A window will pop up asking you to save the document ColbyFonts.zip.

  2. Save the document to your desktop (or any other location you prefer). When the document is finished downloading, (click Close if necessary). Minimize your browser window. Go to the location where you saved the file. You will see the icon/file ColbyFonts.zip. Double click on it.

    Tip
    To find your Desktop:
    Windows 2000 go to C:/documents/settings/[your_username]/desktop
    Windows NT go to D:/WinNT/profiles/[your_username]/desktop

  3. The Zip application will open. Click the Extract icon. The Extract box will show up. Make sure All Files is selected, then click the Extract button. The fonts will be saved to your desktop (or the location you chose).

  4. You are now finished with downloading and extracting the fonts. Close the Zip application.

    On Windows 2000:

    Installing Fonts
  1. From the Control Panel open the Fonts folder. The Fonts window will open up.

  2. Keep the Fonts window open. Go to where you extracted the fonts (from the previous steps) and open the folder that you extracted. You will see a series of files. Select all the fonts and drag and drop them into the Fonts folder.

  3. Close the Fonts folder. You have successfully installed your fonts. Now you can download and use the pre-formatted Word documents.

Tip
To select a range of fonts in the list, press and hold down the SHIFT key while dragging the cursor over the fonts.
