Colby faculty and staff
in the Division of Natural Sciences and related disciplines have
long been involved with science education in various capacities
in local public schools. The Partnership for Science Education,
Colby's cooperative program in science education with local schools,
has expanded significantly during the past six years as a result
of generous grants awarded to the College by the Howard Hughes
Medical Institute, the Bell Atlantic Foundation, and NSF AIRE
(Awards for the Integration of Research and Education at Baccalaureate
Institutions).
As we expand these services we
will endeavor to continually amend our site to reflect the inclusion
of new or expansion of existing services.

Links feature. The curricular links connect you to detailed lesson
plans for classroom activities using ARC equipment. The lesson
plans are written by area teachers to be age appropriate and supportive
of the Maine Learning Results.
