DavisConnects supports a culture of innovation and entepreneurial spirit at Colby. The goal? To inspire world-changing ideas and student participation in the aspects of entrepreneurship that suit them best.

With an emphasis on design thinking, and backed by a vibrant community of alumni innovators and entrepreneurs, DavisConnects provides Colby students with resources and support to turn their visions into reality.


Annual Highlights

Jan Plan

Two Jan Plan courses are offered: One for novices to develop business ideas and the other for more experienced entrepreneurs to refine their business models.

Entrepreneurial Expo

A daylong event open to the public with a speaker series featuring alumni VCs and entrepreneurs, members of the Maine entrepreneurial ecosystem, and former pitch competition winners, capped by our annual student business pitch competition.

Last year nine teams, with the help of their mentors, competed for $15,000 in start-up funds, as well as other prizes.
