Professional Information

Prior to coming to Colby, Dwayne spent five years in the Office of Campus Ministry at Saint Peter's University. There, his work consisted of facilitating programs around social identity, faith, culture, and justice. He founded his area's flagship program, the Global Justice Delegation, in which students lived and learned in community with human rights workers in Latin America. Additionally, he taught courses on world religions and social justice in the Department of Theology.

At Colby, Dwayne's work has four principal focus areas: advising and collaborating with student organizations housed in the Pugh Center; partner with faculty and staff to provide relevant co-curricular offerings to all students; provide specialized support services to students in the First-Generation-to-College, QuestBridge, and Ralph Bunche Scholars programs; and contribute to Colby's bias incident response practices.

Dwayne is a Brooklyn-born son of immigrants from Trinidad & Tobago, a committed digital activist and educator, and a frequent world traveler.
