Elisabeth Fairfield Stokes specializes in teaching composition. She has been at Colby since 2001. Her essays and articles have appeared in several national and international publications, including The New York Times, TIME, The Washington Post, USA TODAY, and Salon, and have been widely anthologized. Pacific Standard and Eater included her work on their “Best of 2015” lists.
