Scheduling and Facilities Manager Karen Farrar Ledger came to Colby in the Fall of 1981. Karen has an A.S. and B.S. in business and a masters in public administration. In her role as scheduling and facilities manager, Karen oversees the day to day facility and event scheduling for the campus during the academic year, including the development of policies for new facilities and redesigning policies for existing spaces. She chairs the commencement committee and the faculty/staff events committee. Karen has managed many events while at Colby, including trustee meetings, overseer visits, faculty/staff holiday party, inaugurations, retirement events, and groundbreaking ceremonies.
She is a member of the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors International and a
member of the North American Association of Commencement Officers.
