Professional Information

Luis Millones Figueroa, Charles A. Dana Professor of Spanish, has been teaching language and literature at Colby since 1998. He has been Chair of the Spanish Department and Director of the Latin American Studies Program. Professor Millones Figueroa's research interests include: Pre-Columbian and colonial studies with an emphasis on the Andes; Early Modern science and natural histories of the New World; and Jesuits writings from a transatlantic perspective. He is the Book Review Editor of CLAR, Colonial Latin American Review, and a member of the Editorial Board for the book series Parecos y Australes of Iberoamericana-Vervuert.
