Doug Archibald teaches and writes about 18th- and 20th-century British literature and culture, and about Irish studies, especially modern and contemporary. The authors in whom he is most interested include Swift, Burke, Austen, Yeats, Joyce, MacNiece, Trevor, Heaney, Boland, and Longley. He has also served as Editor of The Colby Quarterly.
