1. The Project
Describe the idea, initiative or program which is being considered. Be sure to identify what would be accomplished, if there are any regulations which govern, and what departments at Colby would be affected.
2. Existing Conditions
Describe the existing conditions relative to the proposed project and how the project would improve them.
3. Impact
Describe the categories of ultimate impact of this project (i.e., types of pollution reduced or natural resources preserved) and their significance.
4. Investment
Identify the initial investment required to initiate this project, such as equipment, supplies, advertising and labor.
5. Maintenance
Identify the total annual resources (like labor) required to perpetuate this program. Who is responsible for sustaining the initiative?
6. Funding
Identify any potential sources of labor or funding, as well as any that have already been secured or applied for, such as grants, sharing programs, volunteer labor or participating organizations.
7. Financial Payback
What is the financial payback for this proposed project, if any?
8. Other benefits
What are the other (non-financial) paybacks, if any, to the Colby community? What is the benefit to Colby if the proposed project is undertaken, and the ramifications if it is not?
