Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor

The Department of Anthropology invites applications for a one-year visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor beginning September 1, 2006. PhD (preferred) or ABD. Teaching experience is necessary. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introduction to sociocultural anthropology, a Latin American area course, and three other courses (in conjunction with departmental needs and the candidate's areas of interest). Applicants should send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching skills and accomplishment, and three letters of reference to Search Committee, Department of Anthropology, Colby College, Waterville, ME 04901. Review of applications will begin on April 19, 2006 and will continue until the position is filled.
