Assistant Director

The Assistant Director will work with the Director of Student Activities in the operation and supervision of the Student Union, Coffeehouse and all clubs and organizations. The major purposes of the position are to help facilitate a set of social and cultural offerings outside the classroom that will be vibrant and varied to accommodate a broad group of needs including those of an increasingly diverse student body. Additionally, the individual will have responsibility for implementing a leadership development program to identify and train emerging student leaders. The individual will advise the Student Programming Board, as well as plan and implement the selection and training process for members of the SPB. The Assistant Director of Student Activities is an academic year position with some weekend and/or evening commitments.

Qualifications include: a Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s preferred; a minimum of one year of experience in a student personnel field is required; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are a must; computer proficiency is essential.
