FULL TIME TEACHING ASSISTANT

The Department of Biology at Colby College is seeking a full-time teaching assistant to
begin in mid July, 2001. Responsibilities: Teach laboratory sections (primarily in ecology,
field biology, and introductory biology courses), prepare laboratory materials for these
courses, grade examinations and laboratory papers, and other duties as needed.
Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor's degree with a major in biology or related field.
Experience in laboratory teaching, experience with ecological techniques, familiarity with
computer applications, particularly GIS, and familiarity with ecosystems of the northeastern
United States are desirable. Salary is competitive and is dependent on qualifications and
