Foods with issues

Coffee  |  Bananas   |  Chocolate  |  Sugar  |   Dairy   |  Meat

To get some foods to us in the United States, the planet and peoples go through hell. There are certain foods that, due to high consumption world wide, have to mass-produce, endangering the planet and people. They are typically foods that we don't really think about, and foods that we use everyday. Hint: if we use it every day, so do many people in this country, therefore a lot of it has to be produced, and chances are, poor folks and the environment are being abused. The answer is to eat fair trade, organic, and local foods (refer back to these pages for reasons why).
