Student Initiatives at Other Colleges

Tufts--the Tufts administration has signed on to the Kyoto Protocol (called the Tufts Climate Initiative); Dump and Run has been run for several years;

Oberlin--has an entirely sustainable Environmental Studies building, has an extensive Earth Day celebration and gets most of their food locally.

Middlebury--has diverted 60% of their waste by recycling and composting; has an electric shuttle bus; designed their science building using green measures.

University of Buffalo--as a bigger school, Buffalo has many extensions of environmental concerns as individual formal clubs, from animal rights to activism to conservation.

Brown-'Brown is Green' began in 1990 began to coordinate staff, faculty, administration and student efforts toward sustainability.
