Internship Program in Asia Renewable Energy and Climate Change

Asia Renewables Pte. Ltd. (“AR”) is a new enterprise focusing on the business of developing renewable
energy and climate change mitigation projects in Asian emerging markets. AR has a team of ten experienced
professionals based in offices in Singapore, Beijing and is currently developing greenfield projects in China,
India and ASEAN in biowaste and coalgas power, as well as a major brownfield development in biodiesel. AR
also has a major strategic alliance for the development of clean gas projects.

The AR Internship Program provides a very strong opportunity for a practical and in-depth experience into the
climate change and renewable energy industry sectors, especially in emerging markets. Our group offers an
extremely hands-on, challenging and fast-paced work environment where Interns can expect levels of
responsibility, working hours and workload similar to full-time staff as well as travel opportunities within the
region, should the opportunity arise. Past team interns have been involved in projects ranging solar projects in
Korea to biomass in Bali to presenting at academic seminars in Beijing. Interns are involved in all aspects of
project development, including drafting and modeling, assessing project viability, working project stakeholders
and government officials, and participating in negotiations. We empower and challenge our people to exceed
their own expectations and develop practical management skills and a sound commercial mindset. The
internship demands an exceptionally high degree of commitment of time and efforts and frankly, is not for
everyone. However, those who have successfully completed it gain not only well-regarded recognition in the
industry markets as a “graduate” of our program but also an unparalleled insight into a significant and timely
sector.

At present, the AR Internship Program is an unpaid 8-12 week one in the Singapore office and is also the main
selection process for a full-time position at AR. We strongly value the internship experience as all of our
current full-time staff have been interns themselves. Our past interns are from the major US, European and
Asian tertiary institutions and range from Ph.D candidates in Industrial Engineering to Undergraduates in
finance, sociology and telecommunications. We do not distinguish on level of background or major but rather,
seek candidates with a demonstrated record of success and personal drive for accomplishment and challenge.
Application:

Although term periods are flexible, we generally recommend a period of 3 months as a longer period allows
more substantial involvement in on going projects. We invite interested candidates to submit their resumes
and a cover letter briefly explaining why they believe the internship would be a mutually positive one. Please
direct applications to recruit@asiarenewables.org. Short-listed candidates will be notified.
