Bright Green "Can-do" Intern

"Can-do" Intern
Because we believe in the power of talented people to shape the future sustainability of our world, we are just as demanding of our interns as we would be of any team member. To thrive in a Bright Green internship, you need to be hard-working, hugely committed and have a history of excellence.

Why an internship at Bright Green might interest you;
-    Because you're interested in working in a vibrant SME environment. We're small, young and exceptionally ambitious. The environment is entrepreneurial and you can make a lasting mark on the organisation through your efforts.
-    Because you're keen to get into the sustainability sector. We have a great overview of employment and skills trends in the sector, so what better place to start than right at the centre of it all? Hone your business skills in an organisation that lives its values.
-    Because you're passionate about people. We're all about using people to leverage change, so if the words 'psychology,' 'talent' and 'change' fire you up, then there's probably a Bright Green Intern in you somewhere.
-    Because you like to make things happen. The better you perform, the more exciting opportunities we can give you to shape our organisation. If you happen to have a superpower of your own (perhaps you're an outsiding writer, IT guru, etc) we may well put it to work in a special project

What we're looking for:
Right now, we've got to get our hands on an extremely sharp, "Can-do" intern for our San Francisco office -- someone who's excited to get their hands dirty and help us with all sorts of projects.

Required:

   * Outstanding writing skills
   * Thorough knowledge of the green sector
   * A "can-do" attitude for a range of tasks, from administrative to research and writing.
   * You have a college degree or you're working on getting one.
   * Experience in an administrative role is preferable
   * Ability to come into our office 2-5 days a week

Bright Green interns are outstanding people who can:

   * Use their business 'smarts' to complete tasks quickly and accurately.
   * Work hard and proactively drive and get stuck in to a range of tasks. We're a busy office, so don't always expect explicit direction. But we will support and guide you as much as possible!
   * Help our team optimise our performance by providing reliable, ruthlessly high quality support.
   * Demonstrate their passion for the sustainability agenda.
   * Operate a computer, word, spreadsheets etc with a high degree of competence. We use Macs, in case you were wondering.

What you'll be up to;

The tasks we need done right now are focused around research, administrative tasks, and writing.

   * Helping us build our client base by researching and targeting jobs with inspiring new clients.
   * Researching excellent people to fit our higher level and executive search jobs.
   * Working with our contact management database to make sure that the ideal candidates match with the right job.
   * Taking responsibility for press/ marketing activities such as job advertising, researching for press articles, and creating content for our site.

Practical details:
Monthly muni pass, fresh fruit, and a chance to build a green business from the ground up are all part of the package. We're happy to help you receive academic credit for your work, but no stipend is available. Hours and internship length are somewhat flexible, although we will give strong preference to folks who can commit to a minimum of 3 days per week and a 3 month commitment.
