Determining Our Carbon Footprint
The summit will be certified as Climate CoolTM (i.e., carbon neutral) by NativeEnergy, a certifying agent of the Climate Neutral Network. Summit organizers will purchase offset credits from NativeEnergy for the carbon emissions created by participants' travel and for carbon emissions resulting from energy use at the summit itself. Consequently, we have requested that
participants tell us their travel plans, including travel distance, mode of transport, and number of passengers. We will use the SafeClimate Carbon Calculator to determine offset credits for this energy use. The offsets purchased will be certified carbon dioxide offsets from clean Native American wind turbines.
