Guides for Environmental Studies Majors Program Requirements | Internship Guidelines | Honors Procedures | Graduation Course Checklists Internships in Environmental Studies Students can pursue an internship in environmental studies for January Plan or the summer. Internships during the January Plan is the most common option elected by environmental studies students. It is the responsibility of the student to identify an appropriate internship opportunity and to complete the college requirements. Lia Morris, our Environmental Studies Program Coordinator, is a good person to talk with regarding internship possibilities in environmental studies. The ES Program has endowment funding available on a competitive basis to help support ES majors and minors electing to do internships. Supervisor and sponsor: Students must obtain an onsite (off-campus) supervisor for their internship activities. In addition, students will need a Colby Environmental Studies Program sponsor. For answers to frequently asked questions about internships and the college policies regarding internships, please visit the college pages about Internships sponsored by the Office of Career Services. Please visit this page for more information about finding an internship in Environmental Studies and examples of internships done by other ES students. Please check with your ES advisor or ES Program Coordinator Lia Morris, if you have questions about an internship in Environmental Studies
