The club was founded in the Fall of 2003 after discussions with the Environmental Studies Advisory Committee on ways to connect majors and faculty in this interdisciplinary program. The club aims to create a sense of community within the ES program by hosting social events like club lunches and pub nights, attending environmental conferences, volunteering at events (including introducing lecturers here at Colby), providing a network for students to talk about internships, ES courses and common experiences, and reaching out to prospective students through admissions. We also plan on establishing connections with local schools to promote environmental education. The club is open to anyone here at Colby who would like to get involved!
