Jamille Bigio, former White House Director for Human Rights and Gender, will reflect on her work to promote equal rights and opportunities for women and LGBT people around the world. She will discuss what it took to push out new policies, from investing in women as part of a strategy to end conflict and build lasting peace, to hosting the first White House forum on global LGBT human rights with leaders from the private sector and the faith and human rights communities. She will also reflect on how the United States’ experiences domestically on these issues affect its global engagement.
