Ms. Masaquiza is a Social Affairs Officer, Indigenous Peoples and Development Branch-Secretariat of Indigenous Forum of the United Nations. She has worked as an indigenous activist, a staff member of the United Nations, and a diplomat and advisor in the Government of Ecuador. Her work includes attention to the rights of indigenous peoples, gender, cultural and educational matters, climate change, political analysis, and non-governmental organizations.
