Poet Wes McNair will read selections of his work. He is the author of six collections of poetry, including "The Town of No & My Brother Running," "The Faces of Americans in 1853" and most recently "Fire." The recipient of grants from the Rockefeller, Fulbright and Guggenheim foundations, McNair has also been awarded two NEA Fellowships in poetry, the Eunice Tietjens Prize from Poetry magazine, the Theodore Roethke Prize from Poetry Northwest and Sarah Josepha Hale Medal for his "distinguished contribution to the world of letters." A television program on Robert Frost for which he wrote the script aired on PBS affiliates and won an Emmy Award. McNair currently directs the Creative Writing program at the Universtity of Maine Farmington.
