"Following Frogs."
There is international concern for dwindling amphibian populations in many parts of the world, especially given that these populations are offent considered a major indicator for the health of a particular environment. Many groups are now organzing seasonal surveys of populations, but other lines of research can also contribute to what we know of various species' habits, habitats and health. As a behavioral and physiological ecologist, Assistant Professor Catherine Bevier has been tracking populations of several frog species and will discuss her research regarding potential and actual amphibian declines.
