America’s Future and the Permanent Energy Crisis

  Please join us for dinner as we culminate another year of bringing high-caliber speakers on global topics to central Maine. We are honored to have as our speaker Michael Klare, Professor of Peace and World Security Studies at Hampshire College, and author of Rising Powers, Shrinking Planet: The New Geopolitics of Energy. Professor Klare, whose previous book Blood and Oil was made into a documentary movie, has been in the news recently. With the price of oil soaring and the global demand ever increasing, we need to take thoughtful action to ensure the future of our planet.
