    La Poste française - Official site of the French Postal System. Very well organized with info on a multitude of related subject: e.g. the mail, packages, financial services, stamp collecting, how to order directly, how to write to Santa Claus , etc. Quite interesting and worth a long look.

    Lycos France - Excellent search engine for France. Access to Lycos International.

    Météo-France - Bi-lingual (French/English) site of France's Weather Station; foreign weather stations accessible.

    Music - Virgin's magazing Megaweb (in French): newest music "fad". Various interviews of French artists, singers (e.g. rap singer MC Solaar), information on CD-roms, etc.

    Nomade: Guide des sites internet en français - Excellent site on french sites on all subjects: (e.g.) family and health, political and social life, science and technology, education and hiring, arts and culture, the press, tourism, etc.

    Quidmonde 1999 - In French. Bank of information on 208 states and territory, with more than 200 maps and 1300 color pictures. Just publilshed this october '99. " Quid " will inform you as well on the age of Stephanie of Monaco as on the currency in use today in Lesotho. A reference work compiling 2.5 million bits of information. Presently offered at no charge. Very useful and informative.
