Lisa Churchill '92 completed her undergaduate degree at Colby in the Class of 1992, and then went on to earn an M.S. in paleontology at the University of Michigan. Now working as an independent consulting geologist, she is shown here (on left) while working as a project geologist in the summer of 1993 at the Scarborough Mammoth Site in southern Maine. With Lisa is Kaatje van der Hoeven, Class of 1995, who was also working at the site; Kaatje is now teaching at a community college in Arizona, after finishing her M.S. at Arizona State University.

Sarah Kopczynski '98, right, received her M.S. in hydrogeology at the University of New Hampshire and is now working with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory. Both are shown making their presentations at the spring, 1998, meeting of the Geological Society of Maine. Sarah was honored two years running for outstanding student oral presentation at the meeting.
