GIS Across the Curriculum: Thursday March 4, 1:00 PM in Olin 1 download speaker Powerpoint presentations: Diana Sinton (7MB) | Jenni Lund (352K) Program Details The program will start in Lovejoy 100, at 1:00 PM am with Diana Sinton, NITLE's GIS Program Director, who will share new resources and projects available through NITLE. Jenni Lund, Academic Computing Faculty Liaison at Wheaton College, will demonstrate existing small scale GIS projects that she has assisted through the ConnCollege/Wheaton Collaboration. Faculty from the three colleges will be asked to describe proposed GIS activities or show the website of their current project, (example: http://www.colby.edu/chemistry/LakeStudies/). Wendy Rancourt will describe some of the programs and processes that she has reviewed over the past months, including the resources available through the Maine GIS Consortium & UMaine's open GIS lab. Michael Donihue will describe his Economic JanPlan course. etc. About the guest speakers Diana Stuart Sinton (dsinton@middlebury.edu)is the new Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Program Director at NITLE, based at Middlebury College. In this position, she'll be serving as a resource person for GIS-related questions (training, curriculum, data, software, etc.) that can be supported through NITLE funding (http://www.nitle.org). Diana has 10+ years experience working with GIS in a number of capacities.
