The Health Center consists of two departments, Health Services and Counseling Services. The departments maintain independent records. All Health Center and Counseling Services clients are treated with confidentiality. Information is not shared with anyone without the patient's express consent. Location: Across from Lorimer Chapel, between Dana and Cotter Union, on the second floor of the Garrison-Foster Building.
MISSION STATEMENT:The mission of the Garrison-Foster Health Center is to enhance the academic environment of Colby College by providing quality health care, health education, and preventative services to the Colby Community, particularly students, in a caring, cost effective, and convenient manner.
Colby College is the only college health center in Maine accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health care Inc..
The Health Center hours not will change for the academic year 2005-06. Colby has been successful in its efforts to hire professional night nursing staff for the Colby Health Center. The Health Center will be open 24 hours daily with nurse coverage and clinic hours will be 8 am to 4 pm Monday thru Friday.
THE HEALTH CENTER IS NOT OPEN TO SEE PATIENTS DURING THE SUMMER.
