Women's Health Services at Colby emphasizes personal wellness and health care for ALL women regardless of race, culture, sexual orientation or religion.
Women's Health program at Colby strives to provide a comprehensive, health promotional service, which includes both counseling and education as well as examination . Each student is viewed as an individual with unique physical, emotional, spiritual and sexual needs, in the context of a college setting.

- Breast exams
- Contraceptives
- Emergency contraception
- Food and nutrition issues
- Lesbian/bisexual care
- Menstrual disturbances
- Personal relationship concerns
- Physical exams
- Pregnancy testing
- Sexuality issues
- STD and HIV testing
Appointments in Women's Health last from 30-60 minutes; students are encouraged to ask questions and to discuss their concerns. A comprehensive physical with PAP test requires a 15-minute lab visit initially and is typically scheduled with the exam. If your concern is very sensitive in nature please ask the appointment office for a "personal appointment".
The medical staff at the Health Center includes Dr. Paul Berkner, Jimmie Woodlee a Physician Assistants as well as Lydia Bolduc-Marden NP, a Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) who is also trained as a Forensic Nurse Examiner. Unless otherwise specified most appointments for Women's Health Issues will be scheduled with the WHNP.
