Gary Green is an Associate Professor of Art. His landscape and built environment photographs have been exhibited nationally and internationally and are held in many permanent collections including Amon Carter Museum, Fort Worth, TX; Portland Museum of Art, ME; Rhode Island School of Design, Providence; and the Bowdoin, Bates, and Colby museums of art in Maine.
Loren McClenachan is the Elizabeth and Lee Ainslie Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies. She is deeply concerned with long-term human impacts on marine species and ecosystems. Her research crosses the disciplines of marine ecology, conservation biology, and environmental history, examining past human interactions with the sea so that we can more successfully manage marine resources today.
Steve Wurtzler is an Associate Professor and Director of Colby Cinema Studies. His research focuses on sound media and technological change. The author of Electric Sounds: Technological Change and the Rise of Corporate Mass Media (Columbia, 2007), his work has also appeared in several anthologies. At Colby, he teaches a broad range of cinema and media courses.
