Designed for supervisors and exempt staff, this workshop is split over 2-days to fully review tools, tips and techniques, as well as apply opportunities to practice effectively managing meetings.
It is tailored to encourage attendees to prepare for, plan, lead, and participate in effective meetings. These essential meeting skills help forward the work of their teams by enhancing team members’ decision-making skills.

About the Facilitator(s):
Margaret’s extensive background in consulting, designing and delivering leadership and organization development programs, involves a variety of fields including higher education, healthcare, the arts, and social services. Particularly, her experiences as a business and communications strategist helps to galvanize learning environments where individuals and teams can realize their greatest potential. Currently, she serves as Director of Strategic Communications for Fedcap Rehabilitation Services, a 3200-employee non-profit dedicated to removing barriers to economic independence for a variety of underserved populations. She has worked as Manager of Learning and Organization Development at Martin’s Point Health Care and before that served as Director of Employee and Organization Development at the University of Southern Maine. She holds a B.A. from Skidmore College and has studied at the graduate level at Harvard University and the University of Southern Maine. She moonlights as a writer and editor and has published numerous books for the education market.
As Principal at Bill Maxwell and Associates, Bill works with realistic optimism as a coach and business educator with many organizational leaders. His focus is on leadership and change in individuals and organizations. He is a part-time instructor at the University of Southern Maine in the Leadership and Organizational Studies Department. He also is a Learning Associate at The Learning Group, South America and Leadership Instructor with SCILs Management Training Center in Finland. Bill presents nationally and internationally on a variety of topics, including: Leadership and Change, The Leader’s Journey, and Detoxify Your Workplace. Current clients include Androscoggin Bank, Maine DOT, and the City of Portland, Maine. Some past clients have been Danfoss-Vacon, Amdocs International, Fazer Finland, Maine Administrative Office of the Courts, Maine DOL, Maine Municipal Association, Medical Mutual Insurance Company of Maine, and Genesys Software. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Maine.
