The most common problem is the conversion fails and you get this message or one similar:
"%%[Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: setdistillerparams ; Error info : CalCMYK Profile U.S. Web coated (SWOP) v 2 ]%%
Error accessing color profile: U.S. Web coated (SWOP) v 2."

If you get this, you need to go back to Step 3 of the instructions for making a PDF, where it tells you how to configure the settings. It's essential to get this part right or the conversion won't work.

If you still encounter problems, try going back and redoing Step 1, where you convert your original document into a Postscript file. Remember, Distiller doesn't directly convert Word, Excel, or other documents- it only works with Postscript files that you make from those documents!

IF THE FONTS AREN'T RIGHT: go back to Step 4 of the instructions and make sure you've set Distiller to look in the right place for your fonts.
