Colby CMR Cable Maintenance & Repair

Five Steps to Better Reception ...

Step 3

Isolate the problem by disconnecting any auxiliary equipment (converter box, DVD player, VCR, games, etc.) so you have a direct line from the wall to your TV.

Your direct connection should be secure with a high quality screw-type (not push-on style) connecting cable. Inspect the wall jack too.

If the problem goes away at this point, it is likely with one of those auxiliaries or connecting cables. Add back each item, one at a time, to find the troublesome unit.

Change out any connecting cables to determine if it's the cable or equipment.

If the troublesome unit is a Time Warner converter box, contact them at 888 683-1000.
