Lisa Woo Class of 1997 Major: International Studies Minor: Chinese After graduating fromColby in 1997, Lisa went to Taiwan to study Mandarin for one year. Uponher return to the United States in the summer of 1998, she began workingat United Airlines. Lisa worked in one of the company's reservationoffices as a reservation sales and service representative. She mannedthe toll-free number for domestic, international, and travel agencycalls, booking reservations, answering customer questions, and assistingtravellers and travel agents calling for information. She worked inreservations for one and a half years before she transferred to the salesoffice in May 2000. Lisa is currently an administrative assistant. Shesupports all of the managers (Managing Director of Sales, District SalesManagers, Regional Operations Manager, and City Ticket Office Manager) aswell as account service representatives, sales representatives andaccount executives within the Midwest Sales Organization. She deals withcorporate and retail travel agencies as well as United's corporatecustomers. Lisa also assists the marketing and promotions team byworking with various vendors and helping at events which United Airlinessponsors. Lisa has contacts in professional employment and human resources atUnited Airlines to whom she may direct students for career/internshipopportunities.
