Panel Discussion with Greg Morano, Javier Montenegro, and Emily Muller
The Migrant Peacebuilding project works to help reintegrate Guatemalan migrants into the labor market. After the U.S. government deports Guatemalan migrants, they face many difficult challenges to overcome social stigmas and to re-enter the job market successfully. Migrant Peacebuilding is one of the few organizations in Guatemala City that provides job advice and services to these deportees. Currently the project is working on new cutting edge research and policy briefs to receive new funding and planning multiple job fairs in 2015. In the future the Project hopes to become sustainable enough to have Colby students lead job fairs in Guatemala City every summer.
