Alexandra Gabriel Ivica Jeanne Karli
Kristen Lisa Ly Michelle Neha
Sara Sonya Tu-Quyen Yan

Alexandra Dunberger (Ali/Alex) '07
Ali is a resident in Foss this year. She comes from New Hampshire, but is a Swedish/American citizen and has spent plenty of time across the Atlantic. Still an "undecided" major, she is debating between International Studies, French and Biology and hopes to come to a conclusion soon. She attended Colby-in-Dijon the first term of her freshman year, so she understands the difficulty in adjusting to Colby mid-year and is more than happy to share her experience or offer advice about studying in France. Alex has been involved in Colby Theatre and encourages anyone to get involved!

Gabriel Reyes '05, Government and International Studies
Originally from Massachusetts, Gabriel is now in his senior year here at Colby. During his second year at Colby he studied abroad in Santiago, Chile. He is currently working on a thesis that explores the "Oil for Doctors" program between Venezuela and Cuba. Next year, he plans to attend law school and study either international or corporate law.

Ivica Petrikova '07, Government and International Studies
Ivica is an international Student from Slovakia. Despite the fact that she hates competition, she is a member of the Colby track team and in the spring suffers every weekend at a running meet. She loves chocolate and reading novels, although for the latter she now finds time only during school breaks. She enjoys talking, and therefore welcomes all unexpected visits in her Taylor room on the "virgin vault".

Jeanne DiBella '05, English and Psychology
Originally from Rhode Island, Jeanne studied in Cork, Ireland last fall. Along with working as the LEAP Director, she's involved with Colby Sounds of Gospel, WMHB and Women's Rugby. She's living up in Alfond 143, so if you find yourself in the Senior Apartments, don't hesitate to stop by to ask questions or just to hang out.

Karli Gasteazoro '07, Biology
Karli is a JV Soccer player for the Mules from good ol' Minnesota. "Don't you know... Oh geez..." She currently lives in the dorm on Bob's parking lot, otherwise known as Grossman.

Kristen Renfroe (Ren) '07, English and Italian
Ren plays club volleyball and is on an I-Play field hockey team... ya Kamikazes!!! LEAP was a program she wanted to get involved with because it would allow her to meet people and do anything that is in her power to help them. She hopes that you all get involved with the program! GO MULES and GO LEAP!!! HOO RAA!!!

Lisa Andracke '05, Spanish
Lisa spent her first semester as a Colby student as a Feb Fresh in Salamanca, Spain. She grew up in New York City; after she hopped over the pond to Salamanca, she came to Colby's campus in the depths of winter. She soon found that no superpowers could help her escape the cold; only hot chocolate and meeting new friends could accomplish that. She loves learning about other peoples lives, and she welcomes all visits, questions, concerns, comments, long walks on the beach and sunsets.

Ly Tran '05, Anthropology and Economics
After three years of trying hard to survive the snow, Ly's ready to give out many "important survival tips!" She's a member of the International Club, Colby Dancers, and co-president of the Asian Cultural Society. She's 100% Vietnamese and spent two years around more sheep than people while in Wales at the United World College of the Atlantic before coming to Colby.

Michelle Cole '05, English and Creative Writing
Michelle is from Fairfield, Connecticut. On campus she is actively involved in various community service programs and she volunteers with the Colby Admissions Office. She has taken courses in various departments including Biology, Philosophy, Chemistry, French, and Sociology. This year she is living in Grossman basement along with five other senior girls and her pet frog Gilbert. Feel free to stop by and say hello to them!

Neha Sud '05, French and International Studies
Neha is from New Delhi, India. She hopes to enter the field of diplomacy or international law after graduation. She spent junior year in Paris so if you have any questions or concerns about study abroad in France, she's willing to help. She's the queen of procrastinating and lives in the co-op so if you're willing to waste your time but also happen to be a fabulous cook, you should definitely pay her a visit.

Sara Hamada '05, Biology
As a pre-med student, Sara can often be found spending quality time with the science departments on campus. When not in labs or libraries, however, she tends to her artsy side by painting and participating in the musical club Colby Handbell Choir.

Sonya Haines '07, Sociology and East Asian Studies
Sonya is from Bethesda, Maryland. Along with the LEAP program, she is involved in SOAR (Students Organized Against Racism), and the Women's Rugby team. Feel free to stop by 249 in Coburn if you want to say hello, it's really not as quiet as one might think.

Tu-Quyen Nguyen (Queenie) '06, Government and Religious Studies
Queenie hails from Philadelphia but was born and raised in the lovely continent "down under" i.e. Australia. If you need to find her, you can probably drop by the Pugh Center (her second home) or her quad on the first floor of Coburn (Rm 165). When it gets cold outside you're more then welcome to make s'mores and hot chocolate with her by the fireplace in her room (yes, she actually has a fireplace!!). PS- Colby Rocks!

Yan Kung '05, Chemistry and Music
Born and raised in Canada, Yan is particularly knowledgeable about how to keep warm during the frigid winter months. And after living in several countries, he can also give good tips about settling into a new place. This year, he lives in a huge quad in AMS, so don't hesitate to barge in if you need any help or just want to hang out!
