Open Access Week is an annual event focusing on the importance of Open Access to scholarly information and related topics. Open Access (OA) in scholarship promotes the free access to various types of scholarly information, usually found on the public internet. The Open Access movement allows any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of research articles and data, and use them for any other lawful purpose.
