The F.W. Olin Science Center, completed in 1996, houses Colby's Science Library. Resources include collections in biology, chemistry, environmental science, geology, physics, astronomy, computer science and mathematics. In addition to more than 350 science periodicals, there are microforms, videos, and maps. The 38,500 sq. ft. building was built with a grant from the F.W. Olin Foundation.
Services include science course and reserve materials,reference assistance, and a multi-platform electronic reference area providing access to CD-ROMs and to the Web.
A variety of seating is available for individual and group study. All study locations are equipped for Ethernet access to the campus network.
