Lovejoy recipient refuses to compromise on truth
WATERVILLE -- "Cynthia Tucker believes in the importance of facts, and has become one the country's leading newspaper columnists by speaking to the truth she finds in those facts -- whether her readers like it. Tucker, editorial page editor of the Atlantic Journal-Constitution, on Sunday night was honored as the 2005 Elijah Parish Lovejoy Award winner in large part because of the courage she has shown in never compromising her insistence on valid information."

Need for hidden sources debated

Robinson was one of three journalists who took part in a panel discussion entitled 'Protecting Sources and Shielding Journalists,' an event sponsored by Colby's Goldfarb Center for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement in conjunction with the Lovejoy celebration.
