MP3 to AIFF conversion
Mp3s, though quite useful in general, are problematic to use with video editors like Final Cut.
Always convert any mp3s you want to use in a video project to an AIFF (uncompressed) format first.

Launch iTunes |

Go to Preferences. Select the Advanced > Importing tab, and switch the format to AIFF.

Drag the audio file into the iTunes library, and it automatically will import and convert the file to AIFF. Note: this will work for other source formats as well, like .mov |

Navigate through the directory structure and pull out the actual file and import it into Final Cut or iMovie. (Go to Home > Music > iTunes then find the folder for the Artist and Album, which could likely be Unknown Artist and Unknown Album). |
