Enabling keyboards in “System Prefs > International”

To change language viewed in menus and dialogs:

1)

Go to System Preferences > Personal > International > Language.

2)

To set your international language preference, click Language tab:

  • To add or remove language from your preference, click Edit List to customize;
  • To change the language priority, drag the language you most want to see in menus and dialogs (English for the most part) to the top of the list;

3)

To change input Language:

  • From this same menu choose Input Menu.
  • Check boxes of those keyboard layouts that you would like to appear in the input menu.
  • Make sure that the box at the bottom of the menu that says “Show input menu in menu bar” is checked. Close system preferences.

4)

Click on the flag icon in the top right hand corner of the screen next to the time and choose the desired input language.
